President Bola Tinubu has assured the leadership of the National Assembly that allegation of budget padding and unverified reports of financial misappropriation will not affect his confidence and faith in their desire for a regenerated Nigeria.
In a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale the President said those who are talking about malicious embellishment in the budget, do not understand the arithmetic, promising that his administration will always encourage cooperation for the advancement of the nation.
According to him, the only option for a government interested in the development of its people is collaboration, intelligence sharing and cooperation.
Tinubu also reacted to the recent killing of soldiers in Delta State, noting that the perpetrators will face certain justice, while warning that his administration will not tolerate attacks on the military and security infrastructure.
