Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter has warned Tyson Fury that he may face legal consequences if he does not honour the December 23 date for their undisputed heavyweight title fight.

In the build-up to his exhibition bout with Francis Ngannou, Fury signed a contract to take on 36-year-old Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship at the end of the year.

However, Fury’s promoter Frank Warren pushed for a delay of the fight until 2024 because Fury needs to rest and recover before taking any major bout but Usyk’s promoter Alex Karassik insisted that no such delay will take place.

Krassyuk said Fury is legally obliged to fight Oleksandr on the 23rd or face legal consequences, stating that the commitment has to be executed.
