The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) says it has commenced an investigation into the cause of a plane crash involving Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
NSIB in a statement said that the remote cause of the crash will be examined to forestall such in the future.
It was gathered that the private jet operated by Flint Aero crash-landed yesterday night at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, having departed the Abuja airport.
According to reports, the aircraft crash-landed into the bush during an effort to land at about 10 p.m. close to the airport runway in Ibadan.
Reports further revealed that He the pilot and the Minister of Power were the only passengers on board but the aircraft sustained substantial damage.
