The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has distanced itself from the planned endbadgovernance protest, stating that it cannot stop what it never started in the first place.

In a statement today, NLC President, Joe Ajaero, responding to reports that the union had pulled out of a planned national protest organised by the youths, advised the federal and state governments to listen to the cries of the hungry Nigerian people, and address the economic crisis.

Meanwhile, a former Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, has submitted that the federal government is not the only entity responsible to the citizenry, noting that the public should also learn to demand accountability from the legislative arm of government.

Shittu also explained that the planned protest may further plunge the country into disarray, as such action may become a window for mindless criminals to unleash mayhem.
