Nasarawa state Police command has restated commitment to the safety of residents and the preservation of lives in the state, warning none state actors of stiff resistance and full wrath of the law if apprehended.

 

Commissioner of Police in the state, Umar Nafada said this during a televised interview, noting that the recent trend of kidnapping and attack on government officials has been adequately contained, stating that the force is fully on ground and on top of the security situation in the state.

 

According to him, the Police is in partnership with sister agencies to forestall attacks and execution of nefarious activities by criminals, while appealing to residents to supply valid intelligence to the security forces to sustain the security flow in the state.

 

Nafada further explained that the police is engaging stakeholders on all fronts to promote mutual respect and understanding, creating room for partnership and cooperation, while insisting that the government must also assist the force with mobility to quickly respond to distress calls.
