Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) says it has deployed more personnel, patrol and tow vehicles to strategic locations across the State, as part of its statutory responsibilities in ensuring unimpeded flow of traffic across the State,
The General Manager of LASTMA, Bakare Oki Olalekan in a statement said the agency carried out an annual ‘Ember Months Road Safety Advocacy Campaign’ to enlighten motorist and ensure free-flow of traffic and prompt response to any infractions that could by any means extend the journey time of motorists.
He admonished road users to always cooperate with LASTMA personnel on the road, warning that the agency will strictly punish traffic offenders, irrespective of their position or class.
Taofiq also advised residents to reach out to the agency through its dedicated lines and share valuable information to ensure prompt response as required by the situation.
