Lagos State Government has been ranked as the 8th city with the best healthcare system in Africa by an independent research firm known as Numbeo, which focuses on data around quality of life.

 

In a post via X by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Gboyega Akosile, the state has risen through the ranks among states in Africa because of the intentional implementation of policies that improves the welfare of health professionals and transform the sector.

 

According to an updated Health Index analysis from Numbeo, African cities are performing well in terms of cost of living, quality of life, and numerous socioeconomic characteristics across cities and nations worldwide.

 

South Africa leads the list with Cape Town and Pretoria occupying the first two positions, while Johannesburg and Durban sit fourth and fifth, Kenya’s capital, Nairobi is third, Algiers, Tunis, Lagos, Cairo and Casablanca complete the list.
