Lagos state government says it has perfected plans to implement waste recycling by using incentives to attract partnership and support from the public.

Managing Director of LAWMA, Muyiwa Gbadegesin, speaking during an interview, explained that agency will begin the Lagos Cleanup Initiative, which he said is tailored towards ensuring that the city is clean and free from possible pandemic.

According to him, the government will rely heavily on the cooperation of residents to collate recyclable waste, at designated points, which he said will help in furthering greenhouse policies and encourage users through incentives.

Gbadegesin also assured that the state government is working on innovative ways to clean up the city, promising that residents will begin to see changes in waste disposal and environmental sanitation.
