Lagos State government through the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources has served a 48 hours abatement notice to Oyingbo market executives over indiscriminate waste disposal and other environmental infractions.

 

In a post on social media by the commissioner for environment and water resources, Tokunbo Wahab, he stated that the state government will not relent in its effort to entrench hygienic practices in public spaces, to prevent epidemics and deadly outbreaks.

 

 

In another development, Wahab disclosed that his ministry in a bid to find a permanent solution to flooding in Lekki, Ajah and environs has decided to construct a bigger collector along Agungi road expected to bring relief to residents in that axis of the State.

 

 

Wahab however stated the state will not fold its hand and allow some people for profit making sake to destroy infrastructure provided by individuals and the government.
