Lagos state government has restated its commitment to the cleanup of the state, describing the exercise as a shared vision and collective effort that demands out-of-the-box thinking and extreme discipline.

In a statement by the governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-olu, the reshuffling of his cabinet has allowed pragmatic implementation of his mandate, including the current drive of the Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab who he said was equipped with the discipline required to do the difficult things.

According to Sanwo-olu, working closely with state waste management agency, state environmental protection agency among other agencies have propelled efforts to clean up Lagos and reestablish the culture of good hygiene among the people.

He said clearing and regenerating illegal dumpsite across the state will need the collaboration of residence, to put a total stop to indiscriminate dumping, insisting that his government is bent on making lagos a better place to live.
