The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu in company of Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji and other dignitaries has commissioned the oyingbo overpass bridge in oyingbo today as part of the lagos redline rail scheme.

Press Secretary to the governor Gboyega Akosile in a message on x said the bridge would separate pedestrian and vehicular traffic from rail traffic while eliminating accidents associated w railway level crossing.

He added that the 717meter bridge will connect muritala muhammed way to apapa road which will provide access to costain, iganmu industrial area, and lagos badagry expressway,while also providing access to herbert macaulay way and third mainland bridge,otto towards carter bridge and ijora.

Akosile noted that the bridge, along with others, including the yaba overpass bridge, the pen cinema bridge, yaba bridge, mushin bridge, and ikeja were built for the convenience of passengers and lagosians ahead of the red line train.
