Labor party has expressed disappointment at the judgement of the supreme court that dismissed its petition against the victory of President Bola Tinubu, describing the judgement as a betrayal of public trust and the tenets of democracy.

In a statement by the national chairman of the party, Julius Abure, the party noted that recent events have revealed the depth of greed and selfish ambition which has forced some people into buying and bullying their way to the seat of power.

Abure called on members of the party and supporters of their presidential candidate to remain calm and vigilant, claiming that some reports have emerged of planned attack and witch-hunt of members of the labor party and its supporters.

He however stated that their desire for a new Nigeria can only be delayed and not denied, promising that the party will be resolute and intentional in its pursuit for freedom and national liberation.
