Kogi State House of Assembly Speaker, Aliyu Umar Yusuf has advocated legislated rotation of the governorship seat, to ensure fairness across senatorial districts.
The Speaker conveyed this stance while meeting with the Kogi West Ododo/Joel Campaign Council, led by Director General Funsho Olumoko, stating that discussions within the assembly are underway to introduce a bill for the rotational system.
The Speaker explained that such legislation would provide each senatorial district in the state with a sense of belonging.
Commending Kogi West stakeholders for supporting Governor-elect, Usman Ododo’s victory, the Speaker stressed the need for collaboration with all Western Senatorial District candidates for collective progress.
