An appeal by former federal lawmaker, Smart Adeyemi challenging the emergence of Usman Ododo as the candidate of the All-Progressives Congress in its governorship primary election in Kogi State has suffered defeat at the Supreme Court.

Adeyemi had asked the courts to nullify the primary election of the APC, which produced party’s candidate for the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

But the court, in a judgment delivered by Justice Emmanuel Agim dismissed the case and ordered that the sum of one million naira be paid to Ododo and the APC.
