Britain’s government has restated its stance over the handling of a pro-Palestinian march this weekend, warning the London police that actions capable of bringing disrepute to Saturday’s Armistice Day will be firmly resisted.

Police Minister, Chris Philip who was summoned to the house of commons today after the Interior Minister Suella Braverman described the protest as hate marches, stated that the Police will be held responsible for the protest.

Earlier, Mayor of London, Sadiq khan expressed dismay at the stance of the interior minister, noting that the government’s latest interference with police duties will lay faulty foundations for future occasions, warning that such overreaching actions amount to imposition

London has been the venue for some of the biggest demonstrations in Europe since militant group Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7, with tens of thousands of marchers gathering each weekend to demand an end to Israel’s retaliatory bombing of Gaza.
