Lagos State today witnessed its fair share of protests as Haulage drivers in the employ of Dangote Industries took to the streets of Iyana-isolo – Oshodi expressway to lament the poor working conditions, remunerations and other basic benefits.

Led by the Chairperson of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Lagos, Funmi Sessi, the drivers who blocked the Dangote central warehouse at Iyana isolo, said they had tried to negotiate improved living conditions with the management but their demands fell on deaf ears.

However, following a closed-door meeting between the NLC/drivers’ leadership and Management of Dangote Industries, Sessi said the company had agreed to concede to some of the demands of the drivers and said implementations would kick off this week.

The Management of the Company did not speak to Journalists
