Former President Goodluck Jonathan has encouraged governors and political office holders to serve with an intention to leave an enviable legacy and a worthy memory in the hearts of their people, stating that governance is about service.

 

Jonathan speaking at the flag-off of the trans-kalabari road in River state, argued that the project long overdue, applauding governor Fubara for prioritizing the project, which he described as a major link to important areas in the state and South-South.

 

The former president also appealed to the former governor of the state and minister of the federal capital territory, Nyesome Wike and the incumbent, Siminalaye Fubara to iron out their difference, putting an end to the political unrest in the state.

 

Jonathan further charged Nigerians to embrace peace and unity as a tool of national integration and development, to ensure that the Nigerian entity survives its turbulent seasons.
