The Federal Government says it has uncovered 32 routes through which food items are smuggled out of Nigeria.
Vice President, Kashim Shettima disclosed this while revealing that 45 trucks loaded with maize were intercepted in process of been smmugled to neighbouring countries.
Shettima said immediately the produce were confiscated, it led to the reduction in price of maize by as much as N10,000 in some states.
He further blamed defeated political opponents for masterminding the crisis in the country stressing that it was time to set aside political ambition and unite for good governance.
