The Federal Executive Council has approved the sum of N5.9 billion for the construction of access roads for the Abuja light rail system.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, stated this while disclosing the outcomes of this week’s Council meeting chaired by President Bola Tinubu Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
Wike explained that the President has set a timeline for the completion of the Abuja light rail project which is expected to be delivered next year.
The minister said while the FG approved three road projects in last week’s meeting, today’s approval concerns LOT 4 for communities around the airport and Abuja Hajj Camp.
