Former Netherlands striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy, has arrived in the UK ahead of his unveiling as Manchester United’s new assistant coach.
Van Nistelrooy, who was linked with the Burnley job, has opted to work with Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
He will sign a two-year contract on his return to the Red Devils.
This was revealed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Monday morning.
Romano wrote on X: “Ruud van Nistelrooy, already in Manchester to be unveiled as new Manchester United assistant coach. Exclusive story, set to be confirmed.
“the two-year contract has already been signed; Van Nistelrooy and Rene Hake will both be part of Erik ten Hag’s new staff.”
