Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki says the federal and state government must sit at the roundtable to consider the implementation of state policing to adequately tackle security challenges bedeviling different regions of the nation.

Obaseki said this today at the Alaghodaro summit, stating that each state should understand its peculiarity and comparative advantage among other states, in setting agendas and executing plans to revitalize economy and reduce dependency on the federal government which he said will translate to National development.

The governor who appraised the execution of outlined projects by his administration so far, also noted that his attention will shift from basic governmental chores to comprehensive social welfare, orientation and empowerment of youths in partnership with major stakeholders to promote a self-sufficient society.

According to him, his vision is to transform the state into a global center for academic excellence, economic power house with maximum security for lives and properties that will reposition the state to one of the most viable hubs for every form of services in the world.
