The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate in the just concluded Kogi state governorship election, Dino melaye says his decision not to seek legal redress following his electoral loss was hinged on loss of confidence in the judiciary.

In a briefing with newsmen in Abuja Melaye said the Judiciary under the current administration has become the lost hope instead of the last hope of the common man.

The PDP candidate who came third in the elections alleged that the judiciary is no longer independent but a department of the ruling all progressives congress.

He noted that it was a shame that the judiciary watched helplessly as members of the ruling party boasted of their control over the judiciary during campaigns.

Recall that the independent national electoral commission declared the APC candidate, Usman Ododo, winner of the November 11 Governorship Election in the state.
