The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has debunked reports claiming notorious bandit leader, Bello Turji has been arrested.
Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, clarified that the widely circulated news is false and urged the public to disregard it.
He said, “All news regarding the arrest of Bello Turji by troops should be treated as fake news, please.”
Reports on social media had claimed that troops of Operation Fasan Yamma in the North West had captured Turji.
Buba, however, assured that Security forces are intensifying their operations in the region to apprehend Turji and other criminals threatening peace and stability.
