Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun says he will continue to partner stakeholders, in exploring the possibilities available in the different sectors, to open up the state to investments, and provide jobs for the youths.

Abiodun speaking in a session with the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla at the Naval Headquarters Abuja, on the proposed Naval Base in the state, explained that a military base will improve the security level in the state, putting an end to cult clashes among other insecurity challenges.

The Governor highlighted Ogun’s strategic location, bordering Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, and the Atlantic Ocean, as well as its proximity to Benin Republic, making it an ideal location for thriving maritime activities requiring a stronger Naval presence.

The Governor later handed over the title document for 100 hectares of land to the Nigerian Navy for the proposed Naval Base.
