Cristiano Ronaldo has been given a one-match suspension for his gesture during Al-Nassr’s Saudi Pro League game earlier this month.

Following Al-Nassr’s 3-2 win over Al-Shabab last Sunday, Ronaldo was greeted with Lionel Messi chants from rival supporters, which forced him to respond by cupping his ear and repeatedly thrusting his hand towards his groin.

The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Arabia Football Federation (SAFF) announced today that Ronaldo will now serve a one-game ban for his conduct, meaning he will miss the game against Al-Hazm.

Ronaldo’s side are currently second in the Saudi Pro League, six points behind leaders Al-Hilal.
