The prime minister of Bahrain, Salman Bin Hamad Al-khalifa has advocated a referendum sponsored by United States, Israel, Hamas and regional leaders in the middle east to put an end to civilian death and allow hostages return to their families.

Speaking at a summit, Al-Khalifa argued that Hamas attack on Israeli civilians was outrageous but the number of civilian deaths recorded so far in the war is heart-breaking, calling for consideration and concession for a humanitarian corridor.

Meanwhile, the families of Israeli hostages and thousands of their supporters arrived in Jerusalem today at the end of a five-day march to confront the government over the plight of those taken captive by Hamas.

The estimated 20,000 marchers, including well-wishers who joined the procession along the main Tel Aviv-Jerusalem highway, want to put pressure on Israel’s government to do everything they can to bring the hostages back.

According to Israeli tallies 240 people were held hostage and 1,200 others were killed after Hamas unleashed terror on October 7.
