The Nigerian army HAS assured nigerians of adequate security in the southeast and across the country to ensure hitch-free yuletide.

The Director of Army Public Relations, Brig. -Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, in a statement today said the military and other security forces would dominate all major roads and criminal hot spots to provide adequate security during the Yuletide period and beyond.

He added that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja has also directed the immediate deployment of the 401-task force brigade on the major roads in Benue State to curtail the activities of bandits and other criminals in the state.

Nwachukwu enjoined those in Diaspora to freely come back home to celebrate with their loved ones, while urging individuals to be vigilant and report any suspicious persons to the security agencies.
