The political situation in Edo has taken another as the All-progressive congress as written to the Independent national electoral commission, INEC, claiming that three of its staff are attempting to compromise the governorship election.
APC in its letter alleged that INEC head of operation in the state, Inoyengieni Ogbise, head of ICT Lawrence Akan and the electoral officer of Akoko Edo local government, Blessing Suleiman are lodged in one Eterno Hotel, allegedly belonging to the director PDP campaign organisation, Matthew Iduoriyemkewen.
The party also alleged that the persons indicted have perfected plans to compromised the integrity of the election, appealing to INEC to relocate the accused persons, to uphold equity and fairness.
INEC nor the Peoples democratic party has not responded to the allegations,
Recall Governor Godwin Obaseki had threatened to boycott the election unless the State Commissioner of Police and the Resident Electoral Commissioner removed from office, a demand INEC simply rejected.
