Akwa Ibom state governor, Umoh Enoh has promised to sack any head mistress or principal that rents school field or properties to outsiders for crusade or other events.
Enoh speaking during the commissioning of Christ the king model primary school, Wellington Bassey way, Uyo said the current primary school remodelling exercise in the state is to underscore educational advancement as a critical pillar in the A.R.I.S.E. Agenda blueprint of his administration.
The governor who promised to establish Model Primary Schools equipped with state-of-the-arts facilities and personnel across the three Senatorial Districts, noted that principals and head mistresses will be held accountable for the maintenance of the schools.
The Governor also promised to pay a one-time dress allowance to teachers, in a bid to upgrade their wardrobe and outlook as part of welfare packages and a call to give their best .
