Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has urged contractors handling different projects in the state to optimize the dry season to complete their projects, noting that his administration has no room to entertain excuses.
The governor made the appeal while inspecting key projects in the state, including internal roads at the Dakkada Luxury Estate and the operational perimeter road, taxi way, the International Smart Terminal Building, the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul facility, and the Airport Medical Centre at the Victor Attah International Airport.
Eno who lauded the level of progress at the sites, commended the contractors for advancing the projects even without the necessary mobilization while noting that the rainy season had delayed the pace of work for some projects, hence the need to ensure that all the days in the dry season are fully utilized.
The governor also restated his commitment to fulfilling his election promises to the people, saying his duty was to serve and better the lot of his people.
