In the ongoing back-and-forth between two Nigerian music titans, Davido has fired back at Wizkid with a bold challenge for a same-day song release showdown.
With biting words, Davido questioned the relevance of Wizkid’s recent musical output, asserting that his own dominance in the industry has left his rival in the shadows.
Davido highlighted what he sees as Wizkid’s career struggles, suggesting that his own string of hits eclipses any recent success his rival (Wizkid) may have enjoyed.
He said, “That’s what I thought. Nothing to say, exactly why I stopped wasting my clout and jeopardising my millions of USD of endorsements on someone whose career was resurrected a few years ago just to die again.”
With confidence bordering on bravado, Davido declared himself ready for the showdown, boasting an arsenal of 80 ready-to-launch hits.
“I have hits; he doesn’t. Tell him to let’s drop it. Darkness vanishes, and they give birth to him. Very well, he should drop. I’m ready. I’ve got 80 hits ready to go. Ayo, please activate me. He didn’t fit, solo short, bitch.”
“It’s so funny how the whole industry is scared of a 4-foot guy like him. I’m short too, but if you see him in person, you’ll just giggle, idiot,” he added.
This latest salvo comes on the heels of a social media storm sparked by Wizkid’s upload of a leaked video allegedly depicting Davido crying and begging an alleged female associate on his knees.
The video, which circulated widely in April, stirred tensions not only between the two artists but also among their fan bases.
