The United States government has confirmed that vice president Kamala Harris will hold a phone conference with some world leaders on ways to contain the Israel-Hamas war as Israeli foot soldiers continues to advance into Gaza.
In a statement by the white house, the Biden administration is intentional about securing the lives of innocent citizens by encouraging a seize fire and a humanitarian corridor to avoid unnecessary bloodshed.
Earlier, U.S secretary of state, Anthony Blinken landed in Turkey to meet with leaders in the region, stating that a united approach from the region will give direction in deescalating the war.
Secretary of State Blinken also rebuffed calls for a ceasefire from Arab officials on Saturday after appealing, unsuccessfully, to Israel for more limited pauses to the fighting a day earlier.
