Justice Ladiran Akintola of the Oyo State High Court in Awe, Oyo town, on Thursday, struck out the lawsuit seeking to restrain Governor Seyi Makinde from interfering with the Alaafin selection process.

The claimants comprising the Basorun and leader of the Oyomesi, Yusuf Akinade and four others who filed the suit against Makinde, the Oyo State Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Matters, and the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice were absent when the matter was called.

Adamimogo FM gathered that Akinade and two other members of the Oyomesi have not been seen in public since the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) invited them to answer to allegations of bribery.

Justice Akintola stated that the chiefs filed a new suit and the date for the hearing would be communicated to those concerned.
