The General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection agency, LASEPA, Dr Babatunde Ajayi has revealed that 65 percent of the 1945 complaints received at the start of the year are linked to religious centres in Lagos.

Speaking on Adamimogo’s Public Affairs programme, Ajayi, however, clarified that most of them were often given warning letters before they were sealed.

He also highlighted the agency’s awareness drive to mitigate the long-term culture of noise pollution in Lagos.

He urged those who have activities during the end-of-year festivities to keep the noise within the stipulated range or get a permit that allows an extension above the set standards within a temporary period.

He asked residents of Lagos with complaints to visit the agency’s site complain via, www.lasepa.gov.ng or call 0704-635-1295 or 0815-045-8638.
